Parent & Child Coaching for Families Seeking Real, Lasting Change
Calm Authority Real Change
Parent & Child Coaching Rooted in Presence, Clarity, and Real Change
This work can change everything — for those who are truly ready for the depth, commitment, and steadiness it requires.
Here's what that means.
Illuminate exists for parents who sense that what is happening with their child is not shallow, random, or simply behavioral.
It is something meaningful asking to be met — with clarity, presence, and skilled guidance.
You do not come here for quick strategies or surface solutions.
You come for something deeper.
You come because you feel that your child is struggling in a way that deserves real attention — and you are willing to participate in the process that allows something different to unfold.
How My Work Is Different
I am a coach, not a therapist. This distinction matters.
Here's what that means in practice. I do not diagnose or treat.
I work within the living space between parent and child —
observing, attuning, and guiding in ways that interrupt stuck patterns and support healthier ones to take root.
This process is responsive, unfolding, and deeply informed by what happens in real time. Because every child is different. Every family is different.
It adapts to the child, the moment, and the path that reveals itself session by session.
What Becomes Possible
When this work takes hold, the changes are not cosmetic. They are foundational.
Here's what I see happen:
Children begin to soften where they were rigid, engage where they once withdrew, and find new capacity to meet what once overwhelmed them.
Parents begin to see their child more clearly, trust their own presence, and respond with steadiness rather than urgency — witnessing shifts they may not have believed possible.
This is the work.

Who This Work Is For
This work is not for families seeking a last-minute rescue without engagement.
This work is intended for committed, resourceful parents who are willing to actively participate and support new patterns as they form. And I work with children at a specific stage.
I work with children where there is still access to relationship and responsiveness, even when they are struggling. Timing matters.
It is most effective when parents are willing to meet the process before disconnection becomes deeply entrenched.
Meet Barb
My way of working has been shaped through many years of close connection with children, families, and situations that require steadiness, discernment, and quiet attention.
One influence stands out.
My relationship with horses has also deeply influenced how I understand presence. Horses respond not to force, but to calm awareness, clear intention, and emotional truth.
I bring an intuitive capacity to perceive what lies beneath behavior, to remain with what is difficult, and to support a child’s true self in emerging.
But you are always at the center.
Parents remain the primary guides in their child’s lives; my role is to walk beside them, strengthening their ability to respond with clarity and care.
“Every family’s healing begins with one gentle conversation. If you’re ready to support your child with clarity and confidence, let’s begin.”
